What a day!!

Life has been crazy around here. Last Friday we went to see the movie " Up" and we all loved it. The three D is definitely interesting. If you haven't seen this movie, I think you would enjoy it. We left Saturday morning and went up to Salt Lake to see family. We visited at my brother's house and had dinner with my family that still lives here in the state. It was so awesome to see all of them. I don't get to see my parents and my sisters or brothers that often. We all really enjoyed it.
It is crazy when you get together to realize how much you are alike some of your siblings. I really miss being closer to them.
After that we went and stayed the night at my husband's parent's house. On Sunday we went to church at my husband's sister's ward. My niece was speaking so it worked out perfect. We had another party at my in-law's house with dinner and dessert. It was fun to see everyone and visit.
The only bad thing about the weekend was that we had to drive home that night, which is quite a drive especially in the pouring rainstorm.

Today is another day. It is cloudy and rainy again. I can't believe that it is the middle of June, can you? I went to the store to get some good deals and necessities and ended up getting a ticket. That is right, a ticket. What a way to ruin your day!!!

How many of you have been given a ticket lately or in the last year? Why is it that when my husband speeds 20 or 30 over he gets pulled over but no ticket but when I do a little over I of course get the ticket. It stinks.

Oh man, I'm sorry about the ticket! Do the traffic school...it's more expensive, but at least it doesn't give you points on your driving record. I got a ticket over by the hospital a couple years ago.

I'm glad you had a nice time with family though!

ok try this one. I was right behind Fuzzy he was speeding and passed the cop. The cop dose the slow down to him and pulled me over. When ever Fuzzy get's pulled over it is just a I'll let you pass this time. The BDU's do make a statment. He had just got done with drill the time he got a pass and I got the ticket. Yes he was in BDU. or Cami's what ever you want to call them.

I personally have only been pulled over twice, and got a warning both times, not a ticket. If it makes you feel any better though, I have been in 12 auto accidents in my life (on 2 I got half fault, no fault on any of the others because either I wasn't the one driving or I got hit).

OH BOY THAT BITES! Especially when you are going to the store to save a few bucks. I got one just in January. I was watching 5 of my nieces and bowdee had a Basketball game at 9:00 so I was speeding with all of them in the car to get to his game on time. Well needless to say I got pulled over and got a ticket that costed me $85 because I opted to take the class so it wouldn't affect my insurance. Totally STINKS. Sorry bout that it does ruin the whole day well the whole week for me. Terry never gets a ticket because he never NEVER goes over the speed limit even if we are in a hurry. It is crazy but he is one law obiding freak of nature.

It was great to see you and it does remind me how much we are all so much alike. Love you girl and keep smiling.

Hello Kate-
I saw that you visited my blog the other day so I thought I would check your blog out as well.
Sorry to hear about the ticket. :( It usually works the same way here at our house as well...my husband had not had a ticket in twenty four years until we bought our Maxima in February. We only had the car for six days and he was pulled over and given a speeding ticket. I have to admit, I laughed...LOUDLY! He too, took the course to keep it off of our insurance.
Then over memorial day he was pulled over again because our license plate cover is too dark. They had a huge blitz for seatbelt checks that weekend and I'm pretty sure that was what the cop was checking, but she issued him the fix-it ticket anyway.
Not that you wish that sort of thing on anyone (especially your hubby), but it was pretty funny and he's not allowed to drive my Maxima anymore.
Anywhoo...long comment-sorry. Its nice to unofficially meet you!
Loves!

Tickets stink. And I'm really trying not to comment on my no-ticket status as not to jinx my good luck. ; )

We took the boys to see UP the other day. I thought it was a cute movie too.

The last ticket I got was about 8 years ago and ridiculous! I was speeding up to exit our subdivision and there was a speed trap about 20 feet before the exit (where the speed limit changed). How lame is that?

Sorry about the ticket! Joey got one on Hwy 56 a few months ago. I see cops out there frequenty. I can't make it to book club tonight. I don't feel good. I think it's just a cold, but just need to be home resting.

I think that was the same rainstorm my sister got caught in. Wow.

I can't wait to see that movie too.
