You should try these yummy treats

I haven't posted a recipe for a while and with Easter and Conference weekend coming up I thought some of you might enjoy an easy yummy recipe to try.

My family loves this recipe and it is real EASY!!!! I hope you enjoy!!!

No Bake Cookies
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine
1 Tablespoon cocoa
1/4 cup milk
pinch of salt

Bring margarine to a boil on medium high heat, stirring constantly.

When it reaches a good boil time for 1 minute continue to stir.

Remove pan from stove onto a hot pad. Then stir in the following ingredients:

1/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup quick oats
1/2 tsp vanilla

Continue stirring until mixture cools and holds its shape.( Stir and stir and stir)

When cool drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper

Yummy!!!! You can double this recipe if you desire but boil the mixture for 2 minutes instead of 1 minute.
Enjoy!!!! These are great for any time.

Joel makes these with a very similar recipe, and they are definitely a favorite around here, too!

But I hope you're not eating any....:)

What are you doing thinking about yummy cookies like that? I know you never splurge and give in and really enjoy them. Even when you do take your little pinch to try them you are feeling so guilty about it you don't even enjoy it then you wish you never had tried them. Well I am the same way and I guess that is how I know you so well. I do love those cookies thanks for reminding me now I will have to make some and "TRY" them before I give them to the kids just to make sure they are "SAFE" for them to eat. Well love ya and keep smiling.

My family loves these! Which is great, because for some reason, I can leave 'em alone... not a PB in my cookie fan, I guess, so it's perfect, since I'm dieting!

One of my favorites! I like how fast you can make them too when you're craving something sweet.

Hey, I needed a copy of this recipe. Thanks! They call them preacher cookies here in the south, because you can make them quick when you see the preacher walking up the driveway and they'll be ready by the time he sits down in the parlor.
