Six Weeks

I can't believe that I actually accomplished this diet that I have been on. Ok, you are probably sick of hearing about it but this is my blog so if it bores you I am sorry.

The last six weeks I have been on an intense diet as many of you know. I am finally off of stabilization, which means I can start eating a little more normal unless I want to continue to lose, which would be nice, but.... I guess I will see. In the last six weeks I have not had any treats. Any one that knows me knows that is hard for me, even when I am dieting usually I can have a diet drink or have some small kind of treat but I didn't splurge once. What an accomplishment.

Any of you that are on a diet or a new way of life change in your eating, GREAT. Good job. It is hard but I feel so much healthier. I have finally been able to exercise again, which is truly my LIFE, but because of my back it has been set back for a while. This is exciting for me. I am starting to do weights just today. I hope it makes a difference.

Do any of you add weights or strengthening to your exercise and have you seen a difference???? I guess this is one of my trials in life is to have to watch my weight my entire life, but at least it makes me be more careful than if I could eat anything that I want.

I hope you all are enjoying the great weather. I just can't stay inside. I am always outside walking, walking, walking.

Celebrate! (Just not with chocolate.)

Hope I didn't ruin the diet with the cookies.

I've lost 15.3 pounds since January. It's slow but getting there. Amazing how much better we feel with a little weight off. Congrats and you can do it any way you want to if it works for you.

Good for you! And believe me, I know how hard this is. This winter we had a treat almost every night, and I have been paying for it! I've been pretty good on my diet, but not perfect for sure. You're my inspiration!

Wow--not to have a treat that's great!

Good job!

I am a cardio junkie. I hate weight training. But I do enjoy yoga and pilates--so I count that as my strength workout.

Keep up the good work.

Wow--what dedication!! I hope to get there someday. I am at the mercy of the weather here, since I have 2 little ones and can't walk in the wind, rain, snow, hail, etc. with them.

So--needless to say, I haven't been very faithful. I admire your commitment. It makes me want to do better :)

I like to switch things up--walk, bike, push the stroller, stairs, etc.

Wow, that is indeed will power. I'm kind of doubtful of my ability to get through this weekend doing what I should. But if you could do it for 6 weeks, I think I can give it more effort than I was planning on. I do do weight training and I do notice a difference. Not necessarily in my loss, but in the over all well being. Feeling stronger is really motivating in the rest of my life.

I think everyone's body responds differently, but mine responds really well to weights as far as increasing tone and definition. In fact, it's been a while. I need to use weights for my upper arms again. :) Congrats on sticking with your diet for 6 weeks. No sweets for that long is a BIG deal!

Right now I limit myself to a treat once a week (on Family night) and then if I get serious sweet tooth issues that won't go away I eat a few chocolate chips, but that's it. I can't quit cold turkey, I need to do it gradually... I'm getting back on track with my exercising though. Did Pilates yesterday and started a boot camp workout thing today that I will do MWF, and I'm feeling it!

Great job on your accomplishments, I'm impressed :)

I think I am on the same diet. I am counting down the days until I can go on maintenance, and then back to semi-normal eating. It has been the hardest 9 days of my life so far! Sweets are the hardest thing for me. Were you able to keep all your weight off during your maintenance period?
